Sizing mixing bowls use liquid measurements, usually in quarts or fluid ounces. They can range in style and design and are usually made with a heavy glass type construction. Their uses are endless and should be a staple in your kitchen.

Many mixing bowls will have a wider opening and some will have a handle that are used to limit spillage and for ease of handling.  Some mixing bowls will also have a handle and spout that ensure ease of use and versatility in pouring any liquids.

The design of mixing bowls is fairly simple but can also be aesthetically pleasing with an array of colors and graphics available.  Quite a few will have a country type theme or some type of depiction of the wilderness, outdoors or floral motif. The vintage ones that you will see, especially from renowned manufacturer Pyrex, will have bold and retro colors including pastels and vibrant colors.
